MUSIC THERAPY

Piano and Violin Background

At Dolce School of Music, we offer individual music therapy sessions at our studio or online. All sessions are conducted by Registered Music Therapists under the Australian Music Therapy Association.

We provide individualised Treatment Plans in consultation with our clients, their families, and support teams to ensure we effectively assist each person in reaching their goals and improving their well-being.

Our music therapy sessions incorporate a range of evidence-based interventions tailored to each individual's specific needs. These sessions include activities such as playing instruments, moving to music, singing, personal reflection, and songwriting.

Music Therapy can meet the goals outlined in your NDIS plan including:

  • increase independence

  • increase social and economic participation

  • develop community participation

The Australian Music Therapy Association's Information Booklet provides a comprehensive overview of how Music Therapy can help in the key domains of cognition, communication, behaviour, capacity building for community participation, motor skills, and mood and emotions.
